The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred several petitions filed against its Deputy Director of Communications, Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the party’s National Council for consideration.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party leadership expressed “grave concern” over Owusu Bempah’s conduct, confirming that it had formally received petitions from members demanding his removal from office.
The statement explained that, in line with party procedures, the matter has been escalated to the National Council, the body vested with the authority to take a final decision on such appointments. Owusu Bempah’s role, it noted, was originally based on a recommendation by the National Executive Committee and subsequently approved by the Council.
“The Party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding discipline and safeguarding its values,” the statement concluded.
