The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken disciplinary steps against its Deputy Director of Communications, Ernest Owusu Bempah, over comments he allegedly made on social media in defiance of party directives.
In a statement released on Monday, April 22, 2025, and signed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP stated that Mr. Bempah’s conduct violated a standing directive which prohibits party members from making public statements that could potentially create division or disaffection within the party.
As a result, Mr. Bempah has been referred to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and appropriate action.
The NPP emphasized its ongoing commitment to upholding internal discipline and fostering unity, particularly as it gears up for the 2024 general elections.
