Kobina Tahir Hammond aka K.T. Hammond, the member of parliament of the Adansi-Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti region has expressed confidence that he will be re-elected in the NPP parliamentary primaries on Saturday.
K.T. Hammond who is also the trade and industry minister aims to maintain his position as MP after serving for 24 years in parliament.
However, he faces opposition from three other candidates who are vying to unseat him (K.T Hammond) in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
In response to the competition, on Oyerepa Breakfast Time K.T. Hammond asserted that the delegates will not vote for his opponents, he is very optimistic of winning the primaries.
“The delegates will not be for my contenders. The people of Adansi-Asokwa are great. When they are going to vote, they will look at the developmental projects and vote for me. They will vote based on what I have done for the past few years. They will not betray me.” He said in a conversation with Kwesi Parker-Wilson, host of the show.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will hold its parliamentary primaries on Saturday, January 27, 2024, to elect its parliamentary candidates for the upcoming general election.
