NPP National Officers Election: Final proxy register to be published September 27

The National Officers Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that proxy voting will be permitted in the upcoming National Delegates Conference slated for October 3, 2026.

According to the Committee, a detailed proxy voting framework has been developed to govern eligibility, application, verification, approval, and the exercise of proxy votes. The framework will be directly administered and implemented by the Committee, assisted by its Secretariat.

The final proxy register is scheduled to be published on September 27, 2026. The Committee has urged all delegates who wish to take advantage of the proxy arrangement to strictly comply with the published guidelines and timelines.

Addressing a press conference in Accra, the Chairman of the National Elections Committee, Hon. Frederick Opare-Ansah, disclosed that the elections will be conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana under the supervision of the Committee and in accordance with its approved rules, regulations, and guidelines.

He added that the Committee is working closely with the Electoral Commission and the Ghana Police Service to ensure an orderly, secure, and transparent electoral process.

Delegates are expected to arrive in Kumasi on the evening of Friday, October 2, 2026, and proceed to their assigned accommodation ahead of the conference, which will commence promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3.

The Committee has appealed to all delegates to adhere to the arrival and transportation arrangements to be communicated to them and to be punctual. It has also urged aspirants to ensure that their agents, supporters, and delegates comply with all electoral, accreditation, and security protocols.
