Yaw Adomako Baafi, former Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticised Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam George, for what he perceives as a lack of spiritual influence in the lawmaker’s political behaviour.
Speaking on Movement TV, Baafi voiced his disappointment in Archbishop Charles Agyin-Asare, founder of Perez Chapel International, for not stepping in to guide Sam George, who is said to be an elder at the church.
“Agyin-Asare has worried Sam George, I heard he is an elder at his church,” Adomako Baafi said, suggesting that the pastor’s influence could have helped instil greater humility in the MP.
He drew parallels with his religious background, stating, “As an Adventist, my pastors and elders monitor everything that I do. My wife also does as well as my children.”
Baafi went on to issue a broader critique of politicians who, in his view, show no empathy in their public discourse.
“If you are a politician and you have never fallen sick before, then you can go ahead and insult people. If you have experienced a headache before, then that should teach you a lesson.”
He continued, “If you are a politician and none of your family members are dead, then you can go ahead and insult people. But if your brother or a family member of yours has died before, then you have learn to be humble.
“If you are a politician and you have never walked past a cemetery, then you can go ahead with your insults.”
Adomako Baafi concluded by describing Sam George as walking around like a “bloated frog,” a jab that underscores his belief that unchecked pride has tainted the MP’s public persona.
