Former National Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buaben Asamoa, has indicated that the dismissal letter issued by the party was not intended for him and three others.
Recently, the party expelled Yaw Boaben Asamoah, Hopeson Adoye, Nana Ohene Ntow, and Boniface Abubakar Saddique for their failure to campaign for the elected flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The removal of these members was announced in a letter signed by the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua.
Responding to the party’s decision on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Buaben Asamoa stated that the letter was not meant for them.
“There are thousands of people who were hoping to see Alan become the flagbearer of the NPP. They are eagerly anticipating seeing his face on the ballot paper and voting for him.
“They know we have sacked ourselves from the party for a long time. However, they issued a letter to deter others who had planned to campaign for Alan Kyerematen. If even these influential individuals within the party have been dismissed, what does that mean for ordinary members like you?” he told Kwesi Parker-Wilson, host of the show.
