Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso constituency in the Ashanti Region, Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah who is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated that Alan John Kyeremanten is the only candidate to lead the party in breaking the eight.
This follows a speech delivered by Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng after his resignation as Trade and Industry Minister which has received several backlash from the media.
Reacting to this issue in an interview with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, the former legislator explained that Mr Alan Kyeremanten posses traits of Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor as he is calm and ready for the battle ahead of the flagbearship position.
According to him , the former Trade Minister has really served and has proven to be on top of issues in this country in every sector where given the opportunity.
“We know Alan has made a mark in every sector he has been in this country and I know very well that he is going to embark on more action and have less talk”, he stated.
However, he expressed his dissatisfaction with calls to merge Dr Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng going into the 2024 elections, he described those pleas as unfair .
“I dont know what they mean by merging Bawumia and Alan , we wouldn’t be fair to them if that should happen,” he added.
Subsequently, he suggested that all candidates seeking to win the flagbearership position must run a clean campaign when the time is due.
