The New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) aspiring parliamentary candidate for Upper Denkyira West in the Central Region, Mr Daniel Apianin nearly crashed to death yesterday, in the process of submitting his nomination forms to the party’s constituency office at Diaso, the District capital.
A trailer carrying Dangote Cement heading from Ayamfuri through Diaso never notice the supporters of the candidate singing and cheering on the street and crashed the driver’s side of the Toyota Highlander containing the Candidate.
No causalities were recorded but supporters of Daniel Apianin rushed the driver in an attempt to lynch him..
However, Mr Apianin pleaded with his supporters not to harm the driver but rather to hand over the incident to the Ghana Police Service for investigation.
The driver of the long truck said in an interview that, he had a brake failure hence the accident.
He added that dozens including the PC could have been killed had it not been his experience in driving.
