Music icon Reggie Rockstone has reflected on his experience with the legendary group VVIP, describing the ensemble as a “formidable force” grounded in friendship, even amidst creative differences.
He also addressed persistent rumours surrounding the exit of member Promzy, dismissing them as untrue.
“I never kicked Promzy… it was all jokes and lies and slander,” Rockstone clarified in an interview on Joy Prime.
“Promzy knows that. Everybody knows… Bulldog was there. He knows. Ain’t nobody kicked Promzy out the group. He went for a solo career.”
Rockstone recounted light-hearted arguments over things like stage outfits, but emphasised that the bond remained.
“We would argue about every damn thing, man,” he said with a laugh.
“But the love never changed. And we learned so much about ourselves and about friendship because I always said to Zeal and Prodigal, we should never lose our friendship, not over some music.”
