Most loved Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician, Emmanuel Andrew Sammini, well known as Samini has explained his reasons for throwing his support for the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in 2020.
Speaking in an interview on United Showbiz on Saturday, Samini explained that he campaigned for Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo and his NPP government in 2020 elections because of their good policies.
He stated that he felt that the party’s policies, promises, and potentiality could solve most of the problems facing rural areas in Ghana especially his hometown, Wa, hence he had every right to throw his weight behind them just to see such promises and policies manifest.
Samini emphasized the fact that his decision to campaign for the NPP during the 2020 General election was not for his personal gains but for the greater good of his people and Ghana as a whole.
Samini also jumped to the defense of the NPP following attacks launched by the opposition and a school of thoughts on social media that the country’s growth has been retarded by saying “no government has been able to fulfill all the promises they made to Ghanaians, hence the attacks launched on the NPP should cease.”
