Nkoranza Aboafohene, Nana Owusu Emmanuel has paid an amount of GHc6,000 to free 4 inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons.
The move came on May 4 2023 after he thought it necessary to pay the ransom.
Speaking to Oyerepa News, the German-based Nkoranza Aboafohene stated that,
“I usually donate to orphanages but this time around I heard a voice which said I should help prisoners.”
“When I got there I cried because the Kumasi Prisons are overcrowded.”
He also asked the general public to assist the government to build more Prisons in the country to avoid overcrowding.
“I’ll like to plead with all stakeholders to extend a helping hand to the inmates.”
The inmates on the other hand eulogised Nana Owusu for the kind gesture.
They however advised the youth to be extra careful about their actions since it could end them in jail.
