The Nii Odai Ntow Family has urged the public to disregard false reports circulating in the media regarding their ownership of lands in Kwabenya, Ashongman, and Atomic.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, Lawyer Seth Asante Wiafe, Legal Manager of the Odai Ntow Family, clarified that the family is the lawful occupant of the aforementioned lands, as affirmed by a 1904 Supreme Court ruling.
Asante Wiafe assured tenants, lessees, and well-wishers that the family has faith in the judiciary process and is confident that they will prevail in the end. He also called on media outlets that published the false reports to issue a rejoinder to correct the misinformation.
Nii Ayii Tackie, Nii Odai Ntow family accountant, revealed that a group of individuals is attempting to fraudulently take over the land, using deceitful tactics such as forgery and manipulation. He emphasized that the land is not just a property, but also the family’s heritage and identity.
The family has won multiple court judgments, but the land grabbers continue to harass them. “We will continue to fight for what is rightfully ours. We will not let these land grabbers succeed,” Nii Tackie vowed.
The Nii Odai Ntow Family urges all individuals who have acquired lands in the affected areas to remain calm and disregard the false reports.
