A Nigerian national in his late 30s has been arrested and detained by the Awutu District Police Command for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl at Gomoa Nkwantanan Teachers’ City in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Reports indicate that the suspect attacked the victim while she was returning from school with her younger sister.
In an interview, the victim’s mother, Cecilia Krampa, told Adom News that the suspect assaulted the victim and her sister, but the latter managed to escape.
According to her, the younger sibling rushed to seek help for her sister, but the culprit absconded before she returned with an okada rider.
The Assemblyman for the Buduburam-Nkwantanan Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe, confirmed that the suspect was arrested following a complaint.
