The National Identification Authority (NIA) will from Monday, October 6, 2025, begin issuing Ghana Cards to children aged 6 to 14 years who have already completed registration.
The exercise, which will start in 56 districts across the country, will take place in the same schools where the children were initially registered.
According to the NIA, each child must be physically present and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the issuance process. Parents or guardians are also required to present the registration receipt (Form A) issued on the day of registration.
The Authority noted that the exercise will be extended to the remaining districts in the coming days and assured the public that all backlogs of unprinted cards have been cleared.
It added that details regarding new registration for children within the same age bracket will be communicated in due course.
The NIA urged parents and guardians to fully cooperate to ensure a smooth and successful distribution exercise.
