A former Member of Parliament (MP) and aspiring candidate for the Nhyiaeso Constituency has confirmed that the parliamentary primaries will proceed as scheduled by the party.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will conduct its parliamentary primaries on Saturday, January 27, 2024, to select its parliamentary candidates.
However, there were reports that the NPP had temporarily suspended the primaries in the Nhyiaeso Constituency.
The suspension was in response to an interlocutory injunction filed by a polling station executive from Kwadaso, an electoral area within the Nhyiaeso constituency.
Commenting on the issue surrounding Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Kennedy Kamkam said, the issues have been settled so the primaries will take effect.
“The election will come off as soon as the matter has been settled out of court.” He told Kwesi Parker Willson.
