The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has commended F. Alpha and Omega Specialist Hospital in Madina for their exceptional initiative in voluntarily registering people onto the National Health Scheme (NHIS) for free.
During a working visit, NHIA Deputy Chief Executive for Operations, Louisa Atta-Agyemang, interacted with NHIS members who expressed gratitude for the scheme covering their medical bills.
She praised the hospital’s management for their exemplary services and commitment to enhancing the importance of NHIS.
The hospital’s CEO, Francis Fosu, welcomed the NHIA team and explained that the facility, which became operational three months ago, aims to register 20,000 new members for free as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). So far, 7,000 members have been registered.
Fosu reassured NHIS members of seamless healthcare services without illegal charges and expressed concern about the disparity between market prices of medicines and NHIA prices, affecting hospital operations.
NHIS members on admission expressed satisfaction and gratitude to the hospital for their support.
