After ten (10) years of being without an Kyidomhene, one of the most important traditional authorities, the people of the Komenda Besease community in the Central Region have installed a chief at a peaceful and colorful ceremony.
Under the security presence of Mr. Francis Arthur, a building and its construction were peacefully installed as the Kyidomhene of Komenda Besease under the stool name of Nana Kwesi Boamah III.
The ceremony that began at about 11:30 a.m. with the chief carried in palanquin through the principal streets of the town amidst frontom from drumming, brass band, and dancing brought every activity in the area to a halt.
Hours before the chief swore his oath of allegiance to the Komenda Besease community at the durbar ground, men, women, and children dressed in pink, green, and white T-shirts with the portrait of their newly installed chief, Nana Kwesi Boamah, lll, besieged the venue, with everyone wanting to get a look at the chief.
The event was witnessed by high-profile dignitaries from the region, including the district chiefs, security personnel, and the media.
In his inaugural speech, Nana Kwesi Boamah called for oneness among people in the Komenda Besease community.
He urged the community to set aside their differences and embrace their common identity as one people and one town. Saying unity will help Besease drive development and give the town a face lift.
Speaking to Oyerepa TV/FM reporter Bernard K. Dadzie during the installation, Kyidomhene of Komenda Besease expressed his profound gratitude to the good people of Komenda Besease, especially the chiefs and head of the Abrodze family, for their immense trust and support for him.
He seized the opportunity and pleaded with the government to help fix the unmotorable roads in Comenda Besease to be able to attract investors.
