Mr David Kwame Dontoh, Chairman of the National Films Authority, has accused emerging filmmakers in the country of the breakdown of the film industry, which used to be the backbone of the country.
Per David Dontoh, these upcoming film producers were able to break into the industry because filmmaking itself had become relatively simple.
“When we were transitioning from celluloid film to video film… video film is a lot cheaper, a lot faster easier and virtually anyone can manipulate the camera”, he revealed
According to the veteran actor, these new film producers took a sloppy method of filmmaking by ignoring writing top-notch scripts and casting competent individuals in their films.
“When video technology came into the system, people found it easy to use it to make money for themselves”, David Dontoh said on E-TV in a studio discussion.
