Ghanaian rapper Osei Krom Sikanii, popularly known as Oseikrom Sikanii, has responded to shots from fellow rapper Beeztrap KOTM (Nicholas Gyimah), insisting that he played a major role in shaping the younger artiste’s journey in the music industry.

In a social media video, Oseikrom Sikanii accused Beeztrap KOTM of losing sight of the people who supported him before gaining mainstream recognition. He urged the rapper to stay humble and remember those who contributed to his growth.

“In this life, no matter what, never bite the hand that feeds you,” Oseikrom Sikanii said.

The rapper claimed his support for Beeztrap KOTM went beyond their popular collaboration “Fly Girl”, which he described as the song that helped introduce Beeztrap to a wider audience.

According to Oseikrom Sikanii, he invested in Beeztrap KOTM’s career at a time when the rapper was still trying to establish himself, including providing resources for projects and creating opportunities that helped boost his visibility.

He further alleged that the original credit for “Fly Girl” was changed after the song gained popularity, moving from “Oseikrom Sikanii ft. Beeztrap” to “Beeztrap ft. Oseikrom Sikanii.” However, he said he ignored the issue because he wanted his colleague to succeed.

“I put you on. I showed you love. I booked an apartment, and we shot a music video. When you first released the song, it was ‘Oseikrom Sikanii ft. Beeztrap,’ but after it became a hit, you changed it to ‘Beeztrap ft. Oseikrom Sikanii.’ I never cared because I wanted you to eat as well,” he stated.

Oseikrom Sikanii also advised Beeztrap KOTM not to allow his recent achievements, including winning the TGMA New Artiste of the Year award in 2025, to affect his attitude.

“Calm down. You’re still climbing the ladder of success. Pay homage to those above you and those showing you the way into the mainstream industry,” he added.

The latest exchange follows earlier comments by Oseikrom Sikanii, where he described himself as a proven hitmaker and suggested that his collaboration with Beeztrap KOTM played a significant role in the younger rapper’s breakthrough.

Beeztrap KOTM later responded with a diss track titled “Gansta”, released in August 2026, in which he criticised Oseikrom Sikanii and accused him of depending on past achievements. He also urged him to focus on creating new successes rather than claiming credit for his rise.

The back-and-forth has added fresh tension to Ghana’s rap scene, with fans watching closely as both artistes defend their contributions to the industry.
