Felix Odartey Lamptey, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Weija-Gbawe constituency, has addressed the media over the ongoing delay in the collation center.
Lamptey expressed concerns about the electoral process, specifically highlighting issues with the pink sheet, which four people signed on behalf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Lamptey accused the NPP and the Electoral Commission (EC) of attempting to rig the election in favor of the NPP. He alleged that the delay in the collation center was a deliberate attempt to manipulate the electoral process.
This development comes as tensions rise in the Weija-Gbawe constituency, where Lamptey is seeking to unseat the incumbent NPP member of parliament.
The NDC candidate has been vocal about his intentions to recapture the seat, which has been held by the NPP for nearly two decades.
