In a surprising turn of events during the launching of district road improvement projects at Offinso Municipal, the NDC Party Chairman for Offinso South, Hon. Dominic Agyenim Boateng, has expressed his gratitude to the NPP government for providing drip machines to the municipality.
Speaking with the media at the ceremony, Hon. Boateng stated, “This occasion is one I’m so pleased with, especially since most of our roads in Offinso Municipal are in bad condition. For 8 years and above, we’ve consistently raised concerns, but it seems the NPP government doesn’t show mind. But now this program will help get a better road we thank H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo.”
He highlighted the challenges faced by communities like Naama Kwakuta and its villages, where market days become a struggle due to poor road conditions. With these machines, we’re hopeful that our roads will improve, making it easier for our farmers to transport their produce to the market.
However, Hon. Boateng also issued a warning, stating, “We’re giving the NPP government one month to fulfill their promise of allocating GH¢1 million for road development. We expect to see tangible results, not just promises. As citizens, we won’t be spectators; we’ll be monitoring the progress closely.”
This unexpected praise from the NDC Chairman has sparked interesting reactions from the public. While some see it as a sign of unity and cooperation, others view it as a strategic move to secure more developmental projects for Offinso South.
