According to reports, Zeinab Muhammad Ali, a nurse at the Tamale Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Burns Unit Red Zone and a mother of two, allegedly poured boiling water on her husband during a heated argument.
The incident occurred due to a disagreement over her husband’s refusal to let her use his car.
As a result, her husband suffered severe burn injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Meanwhile, the suspect is said to be on the run.
Mr. Nuru Rahaman Iddrisu, the victim’s uncle, confirmed the incident to the media and expressed the family’s demand for justice and the removal of the suspect from her position.
“We are demanding that as far as work ethics is concerned she should be removed from her post because she is a danger to patients at the facility”. He appealed while reiterating the need for justice for the victim.
