During an event in Canada, a video of Afua Asantewaa Aduonum and her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, captured the moment he praised and professed his unwavering love for his wife.
Addressing guests at the event, he asked everyone present to appreciate his wife ahead of her birthday, while she stood beside him in tears, visibly overwhelmed with emotion.
“She is my wife and the mother of our three children. She has been amazing. She has taken care of the kids for quite a long time in my absence. I want you all to say a very big thank you to her for me. Tomorrow is her birthday,” Mr Aduonum said.
He further asked those present to remember her in their prayers.
“She means so much to me and the kids. Please love her and, when you are praying, say a prayer for her,” he added.
The video has since sparked conversations among netizens, with some applauding Mr Aduonum for the gesture, while others criticised him for reconciling with his wife after reports of their separation surfaced during a TikTok live session some time ago.
Despite the reactions, the couple made it clear that they have resolved their marital issues and are happily reunited.
“We have smoked the peace pipe… Bestie 4 lyfe,” they stated.
