Leader and founder of Risen People’s Party [RPP] Bishop James Kwasi Oppong has said, his party is set to contest in the impending 2024 Ghana’s general elections.
The RPP leader claims, his vision to contest to become president of the nation is a divine call which Ghanaians should never underestimate.
“My vision to become president of Ghana is a divine call.” Bishop James Kwasi Oppong told the media in an interview on Sunday, during the maiden edition of his party’s delegates congress in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
According to him, God has called upon him to save Ghanaians from wicked politicians like the NPP and NDC.
He said, the two giants (NPP/NDC) have rendered Ghanaians in unbearable hardships for far too long, therefore God has called on him to relieve the country off the hands of the “wicked politicians.”
“We’re not going to sit for wicked politicians to collapse this country.
We’re risen to safe the nation from the wicked politicians…. God has a vision for this nation, via RPP we can achieve His vision.” Bishop James Kwasi Oppong stated.
He stated again that, there is only one political that can change the fate of the country, and that is RPP, because “we have come with the truth from God to challenge other political parties to take power from them.”
The RPP leader further pointed out that, “with God on our side we’re going to win hands down in 2024.”
RPP formation
The Risen People’s Party [RPP] was formed in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital by Bishop James Kwasi Oppong, a businessman, also CEO of Solid FM, in the middle of 2020 to contest in the general elections.
However, the party could not meet the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) requirements so was denied to contest in the polls.
Despite RPP’s maiden delegates congress, the party looks forward to electing or appointing its national and regional executives. For this reason its membership is open to all interested individuals
