Hiplife singer Andy Osei Sarfo, also known as Kweku Flick in the music industry, has said that his popular song “High” is not intended to encourage young people to smoke marijuana.
The Kumasi-based musician hitmaker explained in a recent interview on Property FM that he intended to utilize his song “High” to highlight some problems that were occurring in the streets.
“A lot of people have attributed different reasons behind my High song but in this world, you can’t determine what people should think about.
“The High song talks about what is happening on the streets and so if I say let’s smoke outside I’m not implying that I smoke weed or cigarettes.
“I was getting myself involved just like a pastor preaching and acting the same as those he’s preaching to for those listening to easily relate with the message.
“So I had to act like I’m a street boy like I’m a wee smoker but I don’t smoke in reality however it was meant to show to those on the streets that I’m part of them.
“I did all those things so that I can conquer them as well and so basically that’s the idea behind my High song,” the ‘Money’ Hitmaker stated.
