The Member of Parliament (MP) for Odotobiri constituency in the Amansie Central district of the Ashanti Region, Mr Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi has said his time is not due for the government to appoint him as a minister.
According to him, ministerial appointment adds up additional duty.
The lawmaker who has stayed in parliament for 17 years was reacting to host of Oyerepa Breakfast Time, BB’s question of why he (MP) is not being appointed into any ministerial position for close to two decades in office as a lawmaker.
As per him, his time is not due to be appointed into that position. His focus is basically on working towards the development of Odotobiri constituency but will not reject the post if he is being appointed by any President.
“I think my time is not due so, I’m waiting for the right time. It’s not my dream to become a minster but I would not reject it when the government appoints me.”
Mr Akwasi Gyamfi subsequently expressed many appreciations towards his constituents for their immense support ever since he assumed power, adding that, the development of Odotobiri is his main priority.
“I am happy my constituents have always appreciated my efforts in developing the Odotobiri constituency.” Mr Akwasi Gyamfi indicated.
