Ghanaian veteran Highlife musician Lucky Mensah has hinted that he is now focused on football rather than music.
The highlife legend in recent years has not released any songs but according to him, he has not quit music, but at the moment, he is funnelling his attention on running a football academy.
Speaking on Oyerepa entertainment review, Friday hosted by MFK, the ‘I Miss You’ crooner stated; “At the moment I’ve relaxed a bit in music because I’m focused on doing football.
I was once a footballer. I have a soccer academy called LM Soccer Academy, which has taken much of my time lately.”
“I’m running Soccer Academy which has 3rd division, Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 10 footballers. I’ve camped about 50 children in my house, from 11 years 17 who are all players, playing league matches.” He revealed.
Lucky Mensah disclosed however that, he will bounce back into music in 2024. He has a lot of songs he would release during that time.
“I haven’t stopped making music but have scheduled my music business for next year (2024). I’ve recorded a lot of songs I would be releasing next year. I have a song with Adanebest, Nero X and I’m recording so many tracks to be released on my album next year.”
Highlife musician, Lucky Mensah, born Alex Lucky Mensah, groomed his talent when he started singing in the Kristo Asafo church in Gomoa, Central Region at 11.
He continued singing in the Accra New Town branch of Kristo Asafo when he relocated to Accra.
He later joined the Figo band but left the band and worked as a solo artist and released his debut album in 1993.
