Gospel songstress Piesie Esther has shared a painful childhood experience, recounting how armed policemen once stormed her home and threatened to shoot her father over a debt.
The award-winning artiste reflected on the tough challenges her family faced during her early years, describing those moments as some of the most difficult in her upbringing.
“My mother was married, but life was really tough… Hardship forced my father into exile. He was a responsible man who gave us all the love a parent should,” she said in an exclusive interview on Accra-based Hot FM.
Detailing one of the scariest moments of her childhood, Piesie Esther recounted how armed policemen stormed their home to arrest her father.
“I remember a time when armed policemen came to our house to collect a debt from my father. He was a strong man and resisted arrest, at which point the policemen cocked their guns at him,” she narrated.
Though her father stood firm in the face of the ordeal, the memory has remained vivid in her mind as a reminder of the struggles her family went through before her rise to fame.
