“Music saved me from depression” – Choirmaster reflects on life after wife’s death

Ghanaian musician Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster, has revealed that returning to music has become an important part of his journey through grief following the death of his wife, actress Beverly Afaglo.

The former Praye member made the disclosure while sharing footage from the set of what appears to be an upcoming music project. In the video, Choirmaster is seen filming a new music video dressed in a military-inspired outfit, hinting at the theme of the unreleased song.

Reflecting on the difficult period he has been facing, the musician said music has provided him with an emotional escape and helped him avoid sinking into depression.

“Music saved me from getting depressed,” he captioned the video.

His decision to return to the studio and work on new music comes amid the grief surrounding the death of Beverly Afaglo, with the development drawing messages of encouragement from fans and followers.

For Choirmaster, the new project appears to represent more than another musical release, but also a personal outlet as he navigates life after the loss of his wife.
