The Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Hon. Kwasi Onyina Acheampong, has officially launched an Education and Entrepreneurship Support Fund to assist students and empower small business owners across the constituency.

The initiative, which forms part of the MP’s commitment to improving livelihoods, is aimed at providing financial support to students who face challenges in continuing their education, while also offering a lifeline to young entrepreneurs and small-scale business operators seeking to start or expand their ventures.

Speaking at the launch, Hon. Acheampong described the fund as a strategic intervention designed to address both educational and economic challenges confronting many families in Kwabre East. He emphasised that investing in education and entrepreneurship remains key to building a stronger and more self-reliant community.

“This fund has been carefully designed to support our students in achieving their academic goals and to empower our youth and small business owners to grow and succeed,” he stated. “By doing so, we are not only improving individual lives but also contributing to the overall development of our constituency.”

In an interaction with the media after the event, the MP reiterated his vision of reducing financial barriers and creating sustainable opportunities for young people. He urged beneficiaries to make responsible use of the support provided.

“I encourage everyone who benefits from this initiative to use it wisely to improve their lives and, in turn, support the growth and development of Kwabre East,” he added.

The launch event attracted a cross-section of the community, including traditional leaders, youth groups, students, and local business owners. Many attendees expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful.

Community members welcomed the fund with enthusiasm and hope, noting that it would help ease the burden on struggling families and provide a pathway for many young people to achieve their dreams. Others also highlighted its potential to stimulate local economic growth by supporting small businesses and encouraging entrepreneurship.

The Education and Entrepreneurship Support Fund is expected to be rolled out in phases, with clear guidelines to ensure transparency and accessibility for eligible beneficiaries.

The initiative marks a significant step in Hon. Acheampong’s efforts to promote inclusive development and create lasting opportunities for the people of Kwabre East.
