A 27-year-old Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Patricia Nimako, was tragically shot and killed in a daylight robbery on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at krofrom in the Ashanti region
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. after Patricia had returned from the bank. According to reports, two unmasked armed robbers on a motorbike approached her shop under the guise of making a withdrawal.
They then shot her twice and fled with GH₵10,000 and her mobile phones.
Kwabena Owusu, an in-law of the deceased and a unit committee member, recounted the harrowing moment.
“We heard the gunshots and rushed to her shop, only to find her lying in a pool of blood,” he told journalists.
Patricia was immediately taken to the Manhyia Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with hopes of swiftly bringing the perpetrators to justice.
