The Deputy Defense Minister, Kofi Amankwah Manu has spoken following the killing of 22-year-old soldiers saying they will not rest until all perpetrators are brought to book.
The military since the death of their colleague soldier invaded Ashiaman in the early hours of Tuesday, March 7 where they flogged and arrested many of the residents.
Speaking about the issue on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show chaired by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Wednesday, the deputy Defense minister revealed that the operation was sanctioned by the military High command and was only aimed at finding the perpetrators of the crime.
However, he noted that the military will not rest until the perpetrators are brought to book.
“The military didn’t go there to hurt anyone but to help get the perpetrators of this crime ” he revealed.
“The military will stop at nothing until the perpetrators are brought to book …..We’ve begun screening and we will do everything possible to get those people,” he further stated.
Meanwhile, 184 persons have since been arrested currently in the custody of the military for screening.
