The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Middle Belt Development Authority, Lawyer Vincent Frimpong Manu has disclosed that his outfit has embarked on almost 2,400 projects since its inception.
The Middle Belt Development Authority was established in 2017 by ACT 962 of the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana. The Authority exercises its mandate in five regions Ashanti, Ahafo , Bono East , Bono and Eastern part of Ghana and served as the main vehicle for spearheading the development in these five regions .
According to the deputy CEO of the Authority, his outfit can boast of many projects which are aimed at improving infrastructural development as well as human development to curb the situation of poverty amongts Ghanaians.
In an interview with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, he explained that the initiative under President Akufo-Addo’s administration has made great impact in the lives of people in various societies.
“We’ve worked on lots of schools, water, toilets projects for communities within this initiative,” he said .
However, he also noted the Authority is not only known for infrastructure development but also human development which they’re also driving resources there to the youth who are unemployed by giving them skills and training in different sectors.
“We are building a strategy to help equip all these people with the needed skills set for use elsewhere”, he added.
