The mid-year budget presentation in Parliament has been postponed, 3news.com has gathered.
The presentation by the Minister of Finance, Kenneth Ofori-Atta, was scheduled to be delivered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, July 25.
There was a haggle in Parliament last Friday over the date of presentation as government wanted it done on Thursday, July 27.
But the whole exercise, said to be in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Regulation 24 of the Public Financial Management Regulations (L.I. 2378), has been adjourned to Monday, July 31.
The presentation is a review of the government’s 2023 Economic Policy and Financial Statement delivered to Parliament by Mr Ofori-Atta on Thursday, November 24.
