The cases involving musicians Shatta Wale and Medikal have been adjourned to 25 January 2021.
Shatta Wale was arrested for a shooting prank while Medikal was arrested for brandishing a gun on social media.
Shatta Wale is being prosecuted with three others in connection with the hoax staged on his birthday following a prophecy by a pastor that the artiste would be shot dead.
He has been charged with causing fear and panic by publishing false news.
His other accomplices: Kojo Owusu Koranteng, personal assistance; Eric Vanetor, a graphic designer; and Iddrisu Yussif, a beautician; have been charged with abetment of the criminal of publication of false news.
Shatta Wale has pleaded not guilty and is on self-recognisance bail.
His accomplices have also all pleaded not guilty and admitted to GHS100,000 bail each with a surety.
During the hearing on Tuesday, 7 December 2021, the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, prayed the court to let the counsel for the accused persons produce one more fugitive suspect.
After an in-camera hearing granted by the court following a prayer by Shatta Wale’s counsel for such, Mr Jerry Avenorgbo, then prayed for an adjournment to the last weekend of January.
Mr Avenorgbo told the court that his client would have a lot of engagements during the festive season.
Also, the lawyer for Medikal, Mr Pobbi Banson, prayed the court to adjourn the case to give his client the chance to take part in scheduled Christmas activities.
The court, presided over by Emmanuel Essandoh, granted the request and adjourned sittings to January 25, 2022.
