Actress and entrepreneur Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has revealed that she desires a lifelong marriage and hopes to build a union similar to that of veteran Kumawood actress Kumawood actress Rose Akua Attakora-Antwi, popularly known as Kyeiwaa.
Speaking in an interview, Akuapem Poloo said she is open to marriage but believes it should happen at the right time rather than being forced. She added that avoiding divorce is one of her major priorities.
“I never want to go through a divorce after getting married. One of my biggest prayers to God is that, at the age I am now, if I get the opportunity to marry, I will. But I’m not forcing it. Whenever the right time comes, I’ll be okay with it,” she said.
The actress explained that Kyeiwaa’s marriage later in life has inspired her to believe that age should not determine when someone finds a suitable partner.
“I see the legendary Kyeiwaa as an inspiration. She got married later in life after living her life, and that shows marriage isn’t about age. If God has destined someone to be your partner, it doesn’t matter how old you are, even if you’ve lost your teeth because of old age. When the time is right, it will happen,” she noted.
Akuapem Poloo, who has faced several public controversies over the years, said her personal experiences have helped her develop the maturity needed for marriage. She stressed that she is prepared to settle down if the right opportunity comes but will not rush into it.
“If the opportunity comes now, I will get married because I know I am mature enough. Looking at everything I have been through, I have been able to hold myself together. Have you ever seen me bring my personal issues to social media before? That doesn’t mean I’m not going through anything. I’m facing a lot in my relationships,” she added.
Her comments have sparked discussions about marriage, timing and the pressure many public figures face to settle down, with Akuapem Poloo maintaining that a peaceful and lasting marriage matters more to her than simply walking down the aisle.
