The Medical Superintendent of Manhyia District Hospital, Dr Kamarudeen Korku Hussein has disclosed the current situation of the nurse who was verbally assaulted by the Ashanti Regional National Service Secretariat (NSS) Director.
Alex Opoku-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional NSS Director, assaulted a nurse on duty at the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi on Sunday for harassing his daughter who is pursuing her housemanship at the hospital.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Dr Kamarudeen Korku Hussein stated that, both the nurse and doctor (daughter of the NSS Director) are traumatized as a result of how the case is trending on social and mainstream media.
“For now the Doctor is traumatized, the nurse is traumatized, both of them are traumatized and as we’re talking now we’ve organized some psychological support for both of them.“
The duo has been given some days off to relieve stress as well as overcome the tension that has emerged between them.
“The nurse is at her own location and the doctor is at her own location. We’ve given them some days to overcome this stress.” Dr Kamarudeen declared on the show.
