Community members in the North Tongu district of the Volta Region apprehended a suspect linked to the murder of a livestock herder in Alabota near Dorfor.
The suspect has been handed over to local Police.
The victim, a Fulani cattle herder, reportedly confronted the suspect over the alleged killing of one of his cattle.
According to the Assemblyman, Tse Jupiter Azietor, the suspect inflicted machete wounds on the herder, resulting in his death on Wednesday, July 17.
Identified as Seledzi Dotse, the suspect allegedly split the victim’s head and absconded with part of it.
After a manhunt, residents apprehended the suspect, who went into hiding after committing the heinous crime.
He is currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
