The Kasoa Ofaakor District Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Kwame Whisky, after his girlfriend, Linda, 22, was discovered dead in his room at Awutu Papaase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
According to reports, Linda visited the suspect on Thursday evening, September 25, 2025, and shared a meal prepared by him.
She spent the night in his room but was found lifeless the following morning, Friday.
Speaking to Adom News, Nana Kwaw Abbey-Quaye, Chief of Papaase Number One and a relative of the deceased, confirmed that Linda’s body has since been taken to the police mortuary for preservation while investigations continue.
Police say they are working to establish the cause of death as part of ongoing inquiries.
