Samuel Pyne, the Ashanti Regional General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) has said, some thugs of former president John Dramani Mahama pushed his vehicle off the road to pave way for him (Mr. Mahama).
According to him, the incident happened on Monday, September 13 2021 during ex-president Mahama’s ‘Thank You Tour’ in Kumasi.
Speaking on Oyerepa Fm’s Breakfast show, Sam Pyne said; “Mahama’s boys tried to push my vehicle off the road yesterday. They were chanting ‘do and die, do and die’. They didn’t know it was me. I believe they did this to a lot of people.” Sam Pyne stated.
Commenting on Mahama’s ‘Thank you tour in Kumasi, Sam Pyne said, the tour was a total flop. A few people and cars followed him.
Sam Pyne was responding to claims that, former President Mahama’s tour in the Ashanti Region gained popularity after he stormed the streets of Kumasi, specifically, the Bantama constituency on his thank-you tour.
The former president is expected to visit Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II today, Tuesday at the Manhyia Palace.
He will go back to Accra after Otumfuo’s visit. The Ashanti Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi has hinted.
