President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Professor Ransford Gyampo, a political science professor at the University of Ghana, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.
He replaces Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.
Professor Gyampo’s appointment takes effect immediately, as confirmed in an official letter issued by Dr. Calistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President.
To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Sarpong has been instructed to hand over his duties promptly to Professor Gyampo.
