Ghanaian dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has revealed that his relationship with his baby mama, Maali, has brought him peace of mind because she understands and accepts his lifestyle, including his relationships with other women.

Speaking on a TikTok live session, the SM boss said he decided to be honest with Maali from the beginning instead of hiding his affairs, as he had done in previous relationships.

“Maali has given me the best peace of mind. I prayed to God, and this goes to every man listening to me. Sometimes I don’t want to be a liar in front of you people. When I met Maali, I explained certain things to her, and she understood me. In my past relationships, I used to lie before going to meet my side chicks. It was hectic for me,” he said.

Shatta Wale disclosed that when he met Maali, he was already involved with another woman but took time to decide which relationship he wanted to keep.

“When I met Maali, I was also in a relationship with another lady. I was observing the two before making my choice, but I realised I loved Maali. She never made financial demands or asked me for money. She stayed with me for three years,” he stated.

According to the award-winning musician, he later informed Maali that he would continue to have relationships with other women, a decision she accepted.

“Then I decided to tell her that I would be having affairs with other girls. She understood me. The other lady I was dating and Maali were both prayerful. She advised me on certain things, taught Maali some of the apps I work with, and while I’m asleep, they work together for me. I decided to be honest with them, made them become friends, and told them I wanted to be with both of them. We have been good. Now I’m looking good like KiDi,” he added.

Shatta Wale has often been open about his views on relationships and has previously spoken publicly about living life on his own terms. His latest comments have sparked widespread reactions online, with social media users expressing mixed opinions about his unconventional approach to relationships and the role Maali has played in his personal life.
