Actress Lydia Forson has urged politicians to focus on homegrown policies that will make Ghana unique.
She is of the view that policies copied from the West may not be the best regardless of the help it is rendering to the people in the West.
The actress was speaking about the credit system being preached by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Although she agrees that it has been a lifesaver for several Americans, it has left a number of them in debt, and therefore the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign must rethink and introduce unique policies.
Her post read “The credit system helps a lot of Americans, but it also puts many many people in debt! We need to stop this thing of using the West as a yardstick for everything and learn to create a blueprint that works for our unique system!”.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during his campaign in the Northern part of Ghana has assured the people of Ghana that he will implement the credit scoring system that will allow Ghanaians access to hire purchase.
