The Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG) has successfully hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Seminar, bringing together professionals in the surveying industry.
At the event, LISAG urged its members to uphold shared values that promote economic growth, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and unity in driving sustainable development.
The AGM and Seminar provided a platform for members to discuss industry trends, share knowledge, and network with peers.
Surveyor Ing. Samuel Larbi Darko, President of the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG), highlighted the crucial role licensed surveyors play in shaping the built environment and ensuring sustainable development.
Addressing the gathering, Ing. Darko emphasized that the work of licensed surveyors has a direct impact on communities, economies, and environments. He expressed his pride in leading the association and acknowledged the significant strides made in its operations.
The seminar focused on liberty-based maps, transformation, and economic growth. Ing. Darko noted that the association has undergone a constitutional review, including changes to its election processes. Elections for duly elected executives are scheduled to take place on March 27.
Ing. Darko extended his appreciation to LISAG members, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to the association’s mission. He urged members to remain committed to their shared values and mission, and to continue supporting one another.
On his part, former Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South, Mr. Francis Manu Adabor, emphasized the significance of the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana’s (LISAG) partnership with Landscape and GMs Services Limited.
This collaboration has led to the establishment of a comprehensive infrastructure for reference, teaching, and course development, marking a crucial milestone in advancing the surveying profession and contributing to Ghana’s socio-economic growth.
Mr. Adabor stressed that accurate and reliable spatial data is essential for planning, decision-making, and investment. He urged licensed surveyors to leverage technology and innovation to drive sustainable development, create smart cities, and promote economic growth.
The former MP concluded by calling on stakeholders to work together, embracing LISAG’s vision for urban transformation and economic growth. He emphasized the importance of upholding professionalism, integrity, and excellence in the surveying profession.
