Coalition of La Association (COLA) has resolved to embark on a series of demonstrations and other lawful acts against La Traditional Council and the government to recover their lands.
COLA is raising concerns over what they say are wanton annexation and continuous encroachment of their lands by the military and Ghana government.
According to the group, the unconcerned behaviour of the La Traditional Council is making them believe that their leaders are in bed with the government over the 114 acres of the Kpletso site at Burma Camp catchment area.
Addressing the media on Monday, October 9, 2023, the spokesperson for COLA, Jeffery Tetteh said the youth of La will rise against the Traditional leaders if they sit down for even a handkerchief size of the Kpletso land taken away from them by the military.
He asserted that it is time for the chiefs and elders of La Traditional Council to have a proper dialogue with the government because they are allodia owners of the Kpletso site at Burma Camp catchment area.
