Klinataps College of Health and Allied Sciences has held its 3rd graduation ceremony at campus in Klagon, in the Greater Accra Region.
The ceremony was a significant milestone for Klintaps College, reflecting its commitment to training skilled health professionals and contributing to the development of Ghana’s healthcare sector.
The event marked the graduation of 193 students across three academic disciplines which graduates, 36 earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Science, 115 received a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Sonography, and 42 graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science.
The president of the college, Prof. Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi, announced ongoing efforts to provide postgraduate opportunities.
He mentioned that both the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and the University of Cape Coast (UCC) are reviewing their curricula for postgraduate studies, with hopes to admit students for the 2024/2025 academic year by the end of November 2024.
Prof. Amonoo-Kuofi also emphasized the financial challenges of running a private health university and revealed plans to establish the Klintaps School of Medical Science by the end of 2024.
Prof. Philip Gorleku, the founder of Klintaps College, congratulated the graduates and praised them for their achievements.
He highlighted that the college has trained 370 healthcare professionals since its establishment, contributing significantly to Ghana’s allied health workforce.
He explained that Klintaps is doing well in helping government achieving his Agenda 111 that a lot of hospitals would be established.
To him, health professionals are scares in this country so Klintaps is going to provide us quality health professionals into all these hospitals and health institutions.
“Some of our students complete school and establish their own hospitals like Dr. P. K. Owusu who is saving lives to support our mother Ghana. No one complete Klintaps without getting work to do so we encourage everyone to come to Klintaps for quality education.”
Dr. P. K. Owusu , the Chief Executive Officer of Grace Phyto Clinic and Medical Diagnostic Solution advised the general public especially health professionals to upgrade themselves in their field of work to improve quality work delivery. He called the members in herbal industries to continue learning because science is dynamic and new things are learnt on daily basis.
Dr. P. K. Owusu who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa news reporter, Bernard K. Dadzie at the 3rd congregation of Klintaps college of health and allied sciences at Klagon, Accra admonished the health workers to be mindful of their attitude at work and desist from unprofessional behaviors at work places.
According to him, his staffs at Grace Phyto Clinic and Medical Diagnostic Solution always learn to improve upon their performances which is helping them to perform so well that our patients can testify themselves.
CEO of Grace Phyto Clinic and Medical Diagnostic Solution, used the occasion to advised the health workers to do what they can do and refer the cases that are beyond their control to their superior or mentor because human life is very important so we should not risk the lives of our patients.
