Sagnarigu Chairman of the NPP Alhaji Dagoma has stated that Presidential Hopeful on the ticket of NPP Kennedy Agyapong is not fit to lead the party in 2024.
According to the Sagnarigu Chairman, Kennedy Agyapong is an evil person and only seeks to take the party into opposition.
This comes in the wake of some allegations made by Kennedy Agyapong at Northern during a tour in which he stated that some constituency chairmen were given 100,000 votes in favor of a particular candidate during the Special Delegates conference.
These claims made by the presidential aspirant did not sit well with the chairman, Dagoma, who reacted to them openly while Kennedy Agyapong was speaking.
Reacting to this unfortunate incident in an interview on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Alhaji Dagoma explained that there was no iota of truth in what Kennedy Agyapong said and that they never received GHC100,000 from any aspirant.
“Kennedy Agyapong is an evil person and does not want the betterment of the party… He is only interested in taking the party into opposition and dividing the party with lies and deception,” he stated.
However, he narrated that he never received a dime from the presidential aspirant nor anything from any presidential candidate, as claimed by Kennedy Agyapong, adding that he only received GHc100000 as transportation, and that was not even from the camp of Kennedy Agyapong.
“He didn’t give me anything as a chairman of this constituency; he only gave chairman Sadat of Tamale North a vehicle… I didn’t receive anything from him,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chairman Dagoma has sent a strong warning to Kennedy Agyapong, saying the next time it happens again, he will not go as a free man.
“The next time he comes to the Northern Region and makes these allegations, I will beat him and give me a showdown,” he said.
