The founder and leader of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has expressed skepticism about the ability of Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, to sway Ghanaian voters in favor of Vice President Bawumia.
Prior to the NPP presidential candidate election, Agyapong harshly criticized Bawumia for his handling of the economy, particularly focusing on the exchange rate.
Despite this criticism, Agyapong was seen accompanying the Vice President on his campaign tour in the Ashanti region, a move that has disappointed many Ghanaians and his own supporters.
In response to the backlash, Agyapong has apologized to his supporters for not informing them before joining Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour.
During a discussion with Kwesi Parker Wilson, host of Oyerepa Breakfast Time, former NDC General Secretary Anyidoho agreed with those who criticized Agyapong for aligning himself with Bawumia.
