Ghanaian musician and songwriter Kelvin Brown, popularly known as Kelvynboy, has been involved in an accident that resulted in a fractured ankle.
The Afrobeats artiste took to his official social media pages on December 23, 2025, to share videos and images from a medical facility, where he was seen in a wheelchair with his injured leg heavily bandaged. One of the images also showed a CT scan of the affected ankle, confirming the extent of the injury.
Kelvynboy explained that the incident happened at the back of Centre Point Mall near Atomic Junction. According to him, a driver lost control of a vehicle while reversing and nearly knocked him down as he stood on the sidewalk.
He revealed that the swift reaction of two close friends helped save him from what could have been a fatal accident. However, despite their intervention, he still sustained a fractured ankle and is currently receiving medical attention.
“A few days ago, God saved me from what would have been the most tragic news all year for me and my people. A driver reversing lost control, heading for me at the sidewalk of the very back of Center Point Mall. God saved me through two of my guys who saw it fast and reacted quickly enough, but the accident left me with a fractured ankle. Give thanks for life still,” he wrote.
The singer apologised to promoters and fans for missing scheduled events due to his injury, urging organisers to liaise with his management to reschedule new dates. He also shared his determination to recover quickly and honour the remaining shows booked before the end of the year.
Kelvynboy added that he is ready to perform even if he has to rely on crutches.
“To promoters whose shows I have missed, my sincerest apologies to you and, most importantly, the fans. Kindly coordinate with management to fix new dates. And to the few ones ahead before the end of the year, I am racing against time. I will be there, with crutches, if need be, to rave. Nothing’s going to stop us now. Stay safe and always be thankful for life,” he added.
