Mr Samuel Pyne aka Sam Pyne, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly,KMA has notified that his outfit has not ordered any individual to sell shops of the New Kejetia Market project.
There has been several allegations regarding the sale of Phase II of the Kejetia Redevelopment project by certain unscrupulous individuals from the assembly.
Reacting to this issue in an exclusive interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Sam Pyne indicated that no shop has been sold out as perceived by the public.
According to him, the assembly has not ultimated anyone to sell shops at the yet to be market.
He outlined that no one or trader should give money to anybody for the purchase of the shops.
Samp Pyne disclosed however that official statement would be released should KMA get ready to sell the shops to rightful owners.
Subsequently, he asked the traders to report anyone who attempts to sell shops to them apart from the KMA.
“Report anyone who takes money from you in the name of selling any shop at the new Kejetia Market.”
In order news, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has warned the Ashanti Regional Cordinating Council (RCC) to ensure that all the traders who were moved from the Central Market to pave the construction of the New Kejetia Market phase II were served first after the completion of the significant facility.
